Pastor Donovan and I are so excited for the new year in 2010!! We are starting the year off in Kidz Connection with the fast, partnering together with the rest of the congregation to help teach our children the importance of sacrificing self to God.

Last week we talked about sacrifice with reference to Romans 12:1.

This week we are talking about Psalm 100 "Shout for Joy to the Lord, All the earth."

The points for this week are :

1. Shout for Joy to the Lord all the earth!

2. We shout for Joy because of who God is!

This is going to be an amazing series of God's faithfulness to us as well as the importance of our faithfulness to God.

Merry Christmas!! This is a wonderful week of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!!

This Sunday we have something wonderful planned for Kidz Connection. We are going to start talking about Sacrifice in correspondence with the Daniel Fast.

This week is all about being a living sacrifice for Jesus and our verse is Romans 12:1.

You have been sent an e-mail with an attachment to help all of us partner together in order to help teach your children what the fast really means. Please remember to fill out the sheet with your children.

This week is the Christmas Play!!!!

We are so excited about the amazing evangelical production that the kids are putting on. This is going to a be a wonderful opportunity for you and your children to invite neighbors and friends that do not know Jesus!!

There is practice this Thursday night from 6-8. Please continue to have your children listening to the music and learning the words.

There is also practice on Saturday Dec. 12 from 10-2 and then a Christmas party for the kids from 2-3!! We are asking that you bring in something for lunch to share, ex. bagel bites, drinks, chips, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, tater tots... etc. Caitlin will be in the kitchen to warm everything up so if you bring it that morning that is fine. Please e-mail Pastor Sarah what you are bringing so we know what we have. Also if you could donate 2 or 3 dollars we would like to get something nice for Miss Kimberly for all the hard work she has put into this program, that would be greatly appreciated.

It's December already! It's so hard to believe how fast time has been going by. This week we are doing a one part series in Kidz Connection. It's called Christmas Imagination. It's about God's imagination and creativity in creation and in our redemption through Christ. This is going to be an exciting service because it is going to teach the kids to use their imagination and to see how awesome God really is in what He has done for us this Christmas.

The points for the message are:

1. Use the imagination God gave you

2. Respect God's imagination and creation

The memory verse for this week is:

Genesis 37:5 "Then Joseph had a dream and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him even more."

Hey Everyone!!

I just wanted to let you know that this Sunday is the last Sunday to bring in items for C.C. Dodd's father. We are putting together Christmas boxes for him while he is serving in Afghanistan.

Also this Sunday we have a full cast practice for the Christmas musical from 4-6 and at 5:45 there is a parents meeting.

This is the final week for Operation Enduring Courage! This has been a super fun serious of investigation into the life of Daniel and his three friends. This week we are talking specifically about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

We have been having a blast in Kidz Connection going through Operation Enduring Courage. This past week we learned about picking good friends and how iron sharpens iron. This week we are learning about surviving a night with the lions.

The points for this week are:

There are many new exciting things happening in Kidz Connection!!



We have revamped the store and it will be opened this week. Your children will be able to receive "Linkage Loot" for bringing their friends, Bible and saying their memory verses on Sunday Morning. The store will them be opened at the end of the service for them to make their purchases. They are able to save their Linkage Loot and buy bigger prizes or spend it and get smaller prizes. This is their reward for working hard.



We are also going to be sending a Christmas package to C.C. Dodds' father who is in Afghanistan right now. If your children would like to make cards that would be great too!! This package is for Gary Dodds.

In Kidz Connection this week we are learning to keep the "Daniels" in our lives close to us. Daniel was so wise and King Nebuchadnezzar appreciated the man that Daniel was, however Belshazzar did not.

This week's story in on the writing on the wall at Belshazzar's party.

3. Keep them close to you

The Power Verse for this week is:

"The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray." Proverbs 12:26

This week is going to be great, we are learning the importance of appreciating our friends and choosing them wisely. To honor and listen to what they have to say rather than always be the one to do the talking. I'm really excited for what is to come this week!!

We are making some changes in Kidz Connection starting this week Nov. 8, 2009. These changes pertain to sign -in and sign -out.

We are requiring that all Kidz Connection kidz be signed in. You can start signing your child/children in anytime after 8:45 Sunday morning. This should leave plenty of time to come up and sign them in.

In regards to sign-out, you MUST have your tag to get your child. When you come to the top of the stairs you will need to show your tag to the person at the table and then flow through the adjacent Connection Class room. Your child will be on the other side with someone there to make sure that the numbers on the tag match up.

These changes are for the safety of your children. As we grow we want to protect your children as much as possible and this is a great way to make sure that everyone is signed in and out each and every Sunday.

This new series was started last week and was so awesome. We are being secret agents taking on new missions of enduring courage while studying the courage that Daniel had through his life. This week's message is about making the decision to do what is right. Sometimes what God tells us to do isn't always what the world expects or understands, it takes a lot of courage to stand up for what God tells us to do knowing it's the right thing to do.

The points for this week are:

1. Make the Decision to Do What's Right

2. Keep the Right Attitude

3. Watch God Bring the Victory

This week we are starting a new series in Kidz Connection called Operation Enduring Courage. This series focuses on Daniel and the courage that he needed to do what was right and follow what God told him to do. Even when his life was threatened, he didn't lost sight of what was most important, God.

This weeks points are :

1. Sin wants me to listen to a different voice

2. Sin forces me to choose

3. Sin offers me a Future (not a good future)

4. Sin tries to change my name

This series is really going to challenge the kids to stand on the word of God when things are tough. It will be a great time of teaching and discussing the importance of God being number 1 in life and second to none.

The PowerVerse for this week is: "And the Lord will give you a new name" Isaiah 62:2

This week October 18, 2009 we will be finishing up our last week in Fruit Of Failure. This has been an amazing series pressing deeper into temptation, sin and how God feels about both.

This weeks message is on God's response to failure. This will be a great ending as we have learned about consequences to sin and the trickery of Satan, we are now going to see how God views us when we fail to run from temptation.

The points for this week are:

1. He Comes To Me

2. He Gives Me A Chance To Make It Right

3. He Gets Mad A Satan

4. He Allows Me To Suffer The Consequences Of My Sin

5. He Makes It Right!

How to handle Temptation

The last two weeks we have been studying the garden of Eden and learning about what temptation is and what happens when we give into temptation. This weeks lesson is on how to handle temptation. Here are the three points from the message for Sunday Oct. 11.

First we must "Not listen to Satan's lies but trust God's plan."

Second "Don't hang around run from temptation."

Finally "Don't follow the crowd, do what's right."

The Power Verse for this week is:

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation" Matthew 26:41

We are so excited to be launching this new blog to partner with the parents of the Kidz Connection kids.
