Hey Parents!

This past week we began a new series called Faith Case. It's an awesome series that goes through the fundamental truths of the Assemblies of God. It is so important for our kids to understand why we believe what we believe.

Last week we talked about the Bible and that it was written by God through men as a guide for us. We talked about how relevent it is for us even today.

This week we are talking about The One True God. There are a lot of imposters out there trying to gain our attention and worship but there is only one God. It's going to be an incredible week in Kidz Connection with worship an awesome object lesson some games, competitions and of course God's Word.

Be looking in the next news letter for some family devotions that will go along with the lessons we are teaching on Sunday. The more we can partner the greater and stronger our team will be and the more solid foundation we can lay for this next generation.

Parents,

I apologize for having not posted in a few weeks. I want to let you know what is coming up in Kidz Connection.

This week we are going to be focusing on Christmas and the Reason for the Season

Dec. 11 is the Kids Christmas Musical at 11am! We are so proud and excited to see everything come together

Dec 18 we are going to be introducing the fast and talking about the power in fasting and giving God our firsts

Dec 25 is Christmas and we will all be together in the Sanctuary for the 11 am service. Your kids are invited to come in their pajamas!!!

We are going into week 4 of Sticky! An Awesome series about some people in the Bible who got themselves into Stick Situations!! This week we are studying the "Worry Wart" Martha. It's going to be an awesome Sunday full of surprises and an great morning of worship sitting at the feet of Jesus. You DO NOT want your children to miss this service.

This is the final week for Victory in Kidz Connection. It's going to be an incredible final week going through the ULTIMATE SPIRITUAL BATTLE. The battle of Jesus vs. Satan.

We have been having a blast going through the battles of the Old Testament and wearing our camo. It's been great to see how God always has his hand in everything even when things seem so bleak. We are in week four of our series called VICTORY! This has been an awesome series going through the battle of the Old Testament and how they apply to our everyday life.

This week our lesson is about taking revenge on those who hurt us and how that is not a part of God's plan. This is going to be an awesome service as we study the in the Word out of Romans 12:17 "Never pay back evil with evil to anyone" This is going to be a great lesson for your kids. We can't wait to see everyone on Sunday morning at 9 and 11 am.

We are going through an awesome series right now called "In the Show" It's a super fun and exciting game show with a crazy game show host named Polka - Dot. He is crazy with a funny accent but he is helping the kids to see that God has all the answers and is always ready to answer the phone. In this week we are going to learn how the Holy Spirit knows us better than anyone else and wants to be a part of our every day life!

This week we are starting a new series called "Powered Up" It's going to be a two month series that is going to teach our kids about a personal relationship with Christ. We hear those words but what does that really mean to a kid? It means, read your Bible, Pray and go to church which are all good things and absolutely the right answers. However, this series is going to break those answers down even further and really give kids a tangible way to grow their relationship with Christ.
This week's message is on being "Plugged In"
You have to make sure you are attached to the power source before you can draw any power and in the same way we have to make sure we have Jesus in our hearts before we can grow in Him. This is going to be a great back to the basics understand of who Christ is and why we serve Him.

I am so excited to share with you this week's message in Kidz Connection. As you know we have been talking about Paul and how God sees the big picture. God shows us pieces one at a time and we have to follow the pieces that He shows us. Last week we talked about how Satan tries to through some pieces into the puzzle too and we need have discernment. This week we are talking about having confidence in the God in us. We are going to be studying the text from Acts Chapter 16 on Paul and Silas. We aren't going to just focus on the story of them being put into jail but we are going to focus on the part of the story on how they were even through into jail. This is going to be an awesome message as we learn that we need to have BOLDNESS in our God, FEARLESSNESS even in the darkest of moments and COURAGE even when the easiest decision is to run.

We are winding down our series on Daniel with one final week after this coming Sunday and it has been incredible. Your children have been learning about the life of Daniel and his integrity. We have been focusing on what it means to press in to God and how God rewards and reveals to us when we press into Him.

It has been awesome to see your kids grow in the Lord and see them press into His presence. As well as be challenged and TAKE THE CHALLENGE to "Do Hard Things" even when the world shows us an easier path.

This week we are going to be talking about the writing on the wall at Belshazzar's party. It's going to be a great week and an exciting end to the Daniel fast.

We are so excited to share with you that we are in our second week talking about Daniel in Kidz Connection. We are in a series called "Do Hard Things" It talks about doing the things that aren't always accepted by the world we live in, just like Daniel had to do. He had to pray when he was told not to, and he had to focus on God when everyone else was telling him to bow down to the statue. It's not always easy to focus on God but like we are going to learn from Daniel this week because he focused and listened to the Lord he was able to share with the king his dream and the interpretation. God could use him in high places because he went against the grain and kept his eyes on the Lord.
We are challenging the kids to keep their eyes and ears on the Lord as He has great plans for their lives and wants to use them to further His kingdom.

Good Morning!

Christmas is getting very close as I am sure many of you feel the shopping pressures get heavier. Don't forget that Christmas has such a deeper meaning and greater importance than precious items hidden buy pretty printed paper, it has a meaning that can save lives for eternity through the birth of our Savior.
Christmas is a wonderful time to celebrate the family that you have been given and to rejoice in the fun that you have together. One of the greatest experiences you will ever have with your family is to worship the Lord along side of your children.
This Sunday is the family service at CCC. There is one service at 11am and EVERYONE will be in the sanctuary. It will be a packed house so be ready for it to be cozy but enjoy the moments of sharing the service with your family young and old, what a wonderful time this will be as we worship, dig into the word and take communion with those we love around us.

This week on Channel 3 Miracle News we encounter a Jailor whose life and family are changed forever! Yes, you guessed it we are going through the Miracle that took place as Paul and Silas worshipped the Lord in their prison cell.

Through a course of events, Paul and Silas find themselves being persecuted and thrown into prison by the Roman Magistrates. One night while they were singing hymns and praying, a violent earthquake shook the foundations of the prison, the prison doors were flung open and the prisoners chains were broken. Yet Paul and Silas remained in their cell only to have the Jailor ask them, "Sirs, What must I do to be saved." This should make us think, "Are my actions getting the people around me to ask the very same question that the Jailor did?" Out of thge Jailors question, He and his whole family are saved!!!

This is quite the story for our team at Channel 3 Miracles News to cover! See you there!

This month has been a special one in Kidz Connection. The kids have had a wonderful service of worship, which was incredible to see them reach out and meet the presence of the Lord. Then we had a week of servant ship as they carried flags into the sanctuary representing countries all around the world.

This week we are going to narrow it down to the country France and learn about the people that live there. We are going to pray for them, eat some French food and focus on a land that is far away from our own but still needs to the same Jesus.

We are going to play our own version of "Carmen Sandiego" and discover all kinds of awesome information about these countries, we are even going to taste some of their cultural food.

This week we are focused on the country Brazil, have your kids come in with thier yellow and green on ready to solve the mystery at hand.

This is the final week for "Life is a Highway"! We have had a blast learning about the different road signs of life and how to apply them. This final one is no different we are learning about the dead end sign.

The Dead End sign is all about making spiritual U-turns. It takes a lot to know when and how to make a U-turn and how to avoid needing to make a U-turn. This is going to be an awesome Sunday as we press further into our relationship with God.

This week were are talking about the wrong way sign in our current curriculum "Life is a Highway." The wrong way sign is all about making decision to follow God's way and how

Satan tries to trick us by showing us things that "look" good. We have to learn to follow God leading and listen to His heavenly voice to know what the right choice is to make. This is going to be a great lesson on the difference between outward appearance and genuine following of the Lord.

Construction Zone

This week the sign that we are learning about is the Construction Zone sign. This sign represents God's work in our life and how we always need allow God to work in us.

We are already into week number 4 of Life is a Highway! This week we are talking about the Merge sign and how we need to learn to work together with others to reach the common goal of winning souls for Christ.

We are focusing on working together but also not deciding that someone can't be worked with because of their appearance or a slight personality difference. It's going to be a great week of seeking for other's strong points and learning how to be strengthed by our weaknesses.

Stop Sin in its tracks!

We are continuing with our new series this week Life is a Highway. Last week we learned about the One Way sign and how there is only One Way to get to Heaven. This week we are continuing down the highway and studying the Stop sign. We are going to learn how to stop sin in its tracks.

It is not always easy to do what is right but what is right is worth the hard work in the end. We are going to learn what it means to stop sinning and do what is right and how to do that when you aren't always surrounded by people telling you what the right thing to do is.

This is going to be a great week of encouragement and empowerment to these children to stand up for what they know is right in the word of the Lord.

This weeks power verse is: Daniel 4:27 "Stop sinning and do what is right."

This week we are starting a new curriculum in Kidz Connection called "Life is a Highway." This curriculum is all about the signs of life and following the signs of God. This week is about "One Way" to get to Heaven. That Jesus is the one and only way to spend eternity in Heaven.

We are so excited to start this curriculum this week with all the new graduate and the amazing kids of Kidz Connection. Please be praying along with us that God is opening their minds and hearts to His presence and Spirit.

This is the final week for Transformed!! It's going to an awesome Finale that talks about giving God all or nothing!! It's going to be huge in learning about the rich young ruler and the challenge that we have in giving God all that we are. That is a huge question to ask even an adult so as we are praying and preparing for this Sunday the Lord has placed it on our hearts to challenge the kids in going back to school, to put God first in everything they do. This means to serve Him first always and that everything to do is done unto the Lord.

This is going to be an awesome week in Kidz Connection! We are so excited for what is yet to come and all that the Lord is doing in the lives of these amazing kids.

The Power verse for this week is: Matthew 22:37 "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all you mind."

We are in our 7th week of TRANSFORMED and this has been quite a summer series. God has been planting some awesome seeds and challenges in the lives of your young people!

This week we learning that God loves everyone unconditionally. We all have heard that at some point in our lives however we have to stop and think if we really understand what that means. Simon the Pharisee was very upset when a sinful woman showed up at his party and had the nerve to speak to Jesus. We are the same way when people come into the church we are very quick to judge them and say they shouldn't be here but that is very wrong. Jesus loves everyone and says "come to me." This week we are going to learn what it is to love as God loves!

The power verse is Romans 5:8 "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."

This has been an amazing series and it continues to warm my heart to see your children worship the Lord and get into a quiet place just to pray and tell Jesus they love Him. We have been so blessed to see children healed in Kidz Connection and see them come to know God in a bold way! Thank you for all your support, teaching and prayers as the amazing parents that you are!

This week we are teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit!! We learned about the Holy Spirit last week and the different ways that He empowers our lives. This week we are putting some feet to that learning more about who He is, what He does and where He is. We are going to have some eyewitness guests in Kidz Connection this week that are going to keep your kids on their toes and hear the real live testimony of people in the Bible who were baptised in the Holy Spirit, as well as seeing Him at work!

The girl's ministry is going to be going to a nursing home Saturday February 13th and they are taking valentine's into the residents. Pastor Donovan and I thought this would great to ask the Kidz Connection kids to make valentine's for the girls to take to the nursing home.

This Friday night is the Kidz Connection sleepover! It is going to be a blast and a great place for your kids to be. We have games planned from 7pm -12 midnight. Give your All ~ Talents

Hey!!

We are finishing up the GIVE YOUR ALL series about worship to God. We have had a blast going through this series with your children. Funny thing you should try... ask you kids if they are to a sack-a-rice!?! they should answer NO a sacrifice!! That was from the last Sunday in December and the start of this series.

This week to conclude we are talking about talents and how God had a plan for each of us. Sometimes that's not always easy to understand. Sometimes we think that we aren't good enough for God to use.

The Rocks will Cry out!!

This week we are continuing in our series 'Give Your All' where we are learning all about worshippping God! In our first week we learned that we are not supposed to be a living sac-a-rice but a living sacrifice! This meaning we worship God by giving Him all of us and when we fight temptation how God helps us through! This past week we learned from the Psalmist that we are to shout for Joy because of who God is!

This week we are going to learn just what happens when we are not living sacrifices and we do not shout for Joy to the Lord! Jesus made it clear in Luke 19:40 That if we do not worship God then the rocks will cry out in our place!

The Major point for this week is:

1. If we are silent the rocks will cry out in our place!

The kidz are going to be challenged to know and learn what we can do to keep the rocks from crying out in our place!!

This week is the Christmas Play!!!!

We are so excited about the amazing evangelical production that the kids are putting on. This is going to a be a wonderful opportunity for you and your children to invite neighbors and friends that do not know Jesus!!

There is practice this Thursday night from 6-8. Please continue to have your children listening to the music and learning the words.

There is also practice on Saturday Dec. 12 from 10-2 and then a Christmas party for the kids from 2-3!! We are asking that you bring in something for lunch to share, ex. bagel bites, drinks, chips, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, tater tots... etc. Caitlin will be in the kitchen to warm everything up so if you bring it that morning that is fine. We have revamped the store and it will be opened this week. Your children will be able to receive "Linkage Loot" for bringing their friends, Bible and saying their memory verses on Sunday Morning. The store will them be opened at the end of the service for them to make their purchases. They are able to save their Linkage Loot and buy bigger prizes or spend it and get smaller prizes. This is their reward for working hard.

We are also going to be sending a Christmas package to C.C. Dodds' father who is in Afghanistan right now. If your children would like to make cards that would be great too!! This package is for Gary Dodds.

We are making some changes in Kidz Connection starting this week Nov. 8, 2009. These changes pertain to sign -in and sign -out.

We are requiring that all Kidz Connection kidz be signed in. You can start signing your child/children in anytime after 8:45 Sunday morning. This should leave plenty of time to come up and sign them in.

In regards to sign-out, you MUST have your tag to get your child. When you come to the top of the stairs you will need to show your tag to the person at the table and then flow through the adjacent Connection Class room. Your child will be on the other side with someone there to make sure that the numbers on the tag match up.

These changes are for the safety of your children. As we grow we want to protect your children as much as possible and this is a great way to make sure that everyone is signed in and out each and every Sunday.

This new series was started last week and was so awesome. We are being secret agents taking on new missions of enduring courage while studying the courage that Daniel had through his life. This week's message is about making the decision to do what is right. Sometimes what God tells us to do isn't always what the world expects or understands, it takes a lot of courage to stand up for what God tells us to do knowing it's the right thing to do.

Parents,

This week we are starting a new series in Kidz Connection called Operation Enduring Courage. This series focuses on Daniel and the courage that he needed to do what was right and follow what God told him to do. Even when his life was threatened, he didn't lost sight of what was most important, God.

This weeks points are :

1. Sin wants me to listen to a different voice

2. Sin forces me to choose

3. Sin offers me a Future (not a good future)

4. Sin tries to change my name

This series is really going to challenge the kids to stand on the word of God when things are tough. It will be a great time of teaching and discussing the importance of God being number 1 in life and second to none.

This week October 18, 2009 we will be finishing up our last week in Fruit Of Failure. This has been an amazing series pressing deeper into temptation, sin and how God feels about both.

This weeks message is on God's response to failure. This will be a great ending as we have learned about consequences to sin and the trickery of Satan, we are now going to see how God views us when we fail to run from temptation.

How to handle Temptation

The last two weeks we have been studying the garden of Eden and learning about what temptation is and what happens when we give into temptation. This weeks lesson is on how to handle temptation. Here are the three points from the message for Sunday Oct. 11.

First we must "Not listen to Satan's lies but trust God's plan."

Second "Don't hang around run from temptation."

Finally "Don't follow the crowd, do what's right."

The Power Verse for this week is:

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation" Matthew 26:41
